Relief Society

Danni and Jocelyn officially entered Relief Society today.  They gave the girls gift bags which included RS books, chocolate, and cute hand santizier.  I'm so glad that they are coming to Relief Society.  They are such cute girls who have so much to offer.  I watched these two girls grow up and I love them dearly.  I know that I will have 2 girls to sit with in RS.

Yesterday was National Friends Day. Jim is my best friend. We've been friends for a long time. We were friends for 5 years before we got married. I'm so grateful for his friendship every day.

Spotlight Trip 2016

Danni's Spotlight Group went on another Disneyland Trip.  This trip was the last one with Mrs. Stones since she is retiring this year.  It looks like they had a lot of fun this year.  They spent one day at Universal Studios, 2 days at Disneyland, and one day at the beach.  It was fun to hear the sets she visited, the rides she rode, and her day at the beach.  I hope she remembers this trip for years to come.

Fuel 2016

FUEL stand for Fulton Ultimate Engineering Leadership.  Josh participated in a 2 week program for the first week.  He learned how to use some 3D software and printed a 3D object.  He really enjoyed the program and learned a lot.  He even earned a $600 scholarship through the program.  The second week he worked on resumes and leadership skills.  It was a such a good program and it gave Josh an opportunity to attend ASU Tempe.

Memorial Day Weekend

School is over and the Mesa public pools are open.  So, swimming is on the agenda this weekend.  We went swimming to Mesa High and Brimhall.  Swimming with the family is the best.

It doesn't seem to long ago that I sent this beautiful daughter of mine to kindergarten. In 13 years, she has grown and done amazing things in school. Congratulations!!!!

Awards

Both Danni and Emily received some awards at the end of school.  They both have worked hard at school and I'm really proud of them.

Danni won the best actress in the Spring One Act and also won the "Laughter and Tears" Award. She thinks that the Laughter and Tears award is a spirit award.  Her best actress award was well earned and I laughed and cried every time I saw it.  I will miss her drama days, but know that they served in well in high school.  This is Mrs. Stones last year at Mesa High, so it was an emotional award ceremony.  She also earned another letter in drama.  Congratulations Danni!!!!!!

Peter Pan was honored at an award ceremony at Gammage.  The students walked the red carpet and performed on the stage.  Mesa high won 8/11 awards including Overall Production.  Congratulations to the directors, cast, and crew of Peter Pan!!

Emily received the Citizenship in the Quarter for her class.  This award is designed for those kids who demonstrate good behavior along with class participation and leadership.  She has grown a lot this year and discovered her voice in class.  She is such a sweet girl and I'm glad to hear from her teacher that she is coming out of her shell.  I love seeing her become more confident in herself and what she knows.  Emily has a really bright future!!!  Congratulations Emily!!!!!
