Christmas Concerts

These past two weeks, my kids had their Christmas concerts.  I love attending these concerts and hearing Christmas songs.

1. The first concert was the Mesa High Winter Choral Concert titled Joy.  Danni is a member of EnChante and performed several songs.  It was so neat to see Danni sing with the choir.  I loved

She performed the following songs:

* Hodie!Alldluia!

*Carol of the Shepherds

*Now the Winner

*Deck the Rooftop

O Come, O Come Emmanuel

*Sing We All Nowell!

*Let It Snow! Let It Snow!Let It Snow!

*Silent Night

2. A couple of days later, the Mesa High band held their concert.  

The Symphonic Band and Wind Ensemble combined for their concert.  They performed:

*How the Grinch Stole Christmas

*Traditions of Christmas

*Stille Nacht

*Do You Hear What I Hear?

*All is Calm

*Jingle Bells Fantasy

I loved that they played two Chip Davis pieces - once of which was Stille Nacht.  I performed that one is high school too.  We took that one to competition and did very well.  During the last song, Mr. Brooks put on a Santa hat - Cool!

3. Danni and Angela were asked to see a song in RS Enrichment Meeting.  They sang "When Joseph went to Bethlehem " and sang it beautifull.  It was a  beautiful musical number  and their voices blend so well together.

4.The last concert for the month was Angela's choir concert.  The title of the concert was "A Winter's Night".  Angela is in the premiere choir and they started the concert walking down the aisle from the side entrances to the stage.  They sang 4 songs - "Babe of Bethlehem" "Coventry Carol","Silver Bells", "Santa Claus, Santa Claus (You are Much Too Fat)".  Angela and Nathan Randal sang a duet to start off Silver Bells.  I loved watching her perform the duet.  Angela was most concerned about singing the Santa Claus song.  She was deeply worried about hurting his feelings.  What a sweet girl.  It was a GREAT concert.
