Christmas Letter 2001

The Pace Family - 2001

This year has been a busy year for our family.  Jim is still working for Credit Data.  His company is now called Merchants Information Solutions.  This past year, he celebrated his ten year anniversary  with them.  His second job is keeping our two vehicles drive-able.  It has become a hobby of his.  Tami keeps very busy transporting our kids to school, sport practices, doctor appointments, etc.  She enjoys working on scrapbooks and taking long, hot bubble baths.  Josh is 5 years old and started kindergarten this year.  He attends Porter Elementary in the afternoon.  He really likes school.  He especially likes going to the school library, P.E., computer lab, and music.  He is learning a lot in school.  Josh just finished playing soccer in the Fall.  He played really hard and sings "I am a Champion" at home.  In January, Josh is going to play T-Ball.  Josh loves to write letters and draw pictures for his friends and cousins.  Danielle is 3 years old.  She started preschool last Fall.  She goes to school with her cousin.  They are inseparable.  She loves to play with her brother and sister.  She loves to color and play Barbies.  She loves to dance around the house, especially to the Nutcracker music.  Angela will turn 2 at the end of February.  Her birthday is on leap day, so we can celebrate Feb. 28th or March 1st.  This past year, Angela had eye surgery and many tests. Her surgery was successful and tests came back normal.  Angela has been diagnosed with Global Developmental Delay and is receiving services through the Early Intervention program in Arizona.  She has four wonderful therapists who say she making great progress.  She is a sweet little girl who has captured the hearts of her parents and siblings.

This year has been very challenging, and we want to say thank you to our family and friends.  We are so grateful to have such great support.  We love you and wish you a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

Santa

Manny saw Santa earlier in the month.  He had a great time meeting with him and got his picture taken with him.  Today, Manny and Angela wrote letters to Santa and dropped them off in a special mailbox.  These letters will be taken to the North Pole where Santa will get them.  Manny got the cutest ice cream cone after he dropped his letter off.  We had a great afternoon and we are getting ready for Christmas.

Thanksgiving 2001

We had Thanksgiving at Debbie's house in 2001.  I don't remember much about that day, but I took lots of pics.  Here are the pictures that I took.  It looks like both the wagon and sand rail were a hit with my family.

Mesa Temple Open House

My family and I went to the Mesa Temple Open House.  The second I walked in, I felt like I was home.  It’s been 3 1/2 years since I walked these grounds and visited this temple.  It was an amazing experience to tour this beautiful temple with my family.

I was lucky to go tour the temple another time with my sister and cousin Barbara.  She came into town for a convention and spent some time with us.  We planned a time to go through the temple.  It was fun to hear Lisa's perspective as a tour guide.  I loved hearing Barbara's viewpoint as she saw the Mesa Temple for the first time.  Loved going through the temple with Barbara and Lisa - what a great memory.

Jim and I had the opportunity to be ushers outside of the temple just outside the temple doors.  It was so rewarding to hear the different stories about how the temple grounds touched those who went through it.  A lot of visitors were in awe of the beauty of the temple.  It made me want to go back in and see the temple again after this sweet experience.  I'm so glad that I was able to usher alongside my husband.  It was a treat.

Emily had an assembly in school and thought it would be a great opportunity to take her to the open house more time before it ended.  She had free time due to the assembly.  It was an awesome experience for me and I'm so glad that I jumped at the opportunity to go again.

11th Grade pics

Emily got her 11th Grade pictures back recently.  Here is a collage of my kids with their 11th-grade pictures.  This is also the last year that the school takes their picture.  Senior yearbook pics are taken professionally which is fun to do.

Kid's 11th Halloween

Looking back at my kid's 11th Halloween costumes,  It's always fun to see what each kid looked like at the same age.   I love seeing what my kids will choose to dress up and what costumes I am able to dig up.  Sometimes my kids choose the costume and sometimes I choose.  My kids are always kind and allow me to take pictures.  I appreciate that - I love taking pictures so I can have them to remember.
