Emily's Graduation

Emily graduated from high school - YAY!!  She worked really hard during her junior and senior years.  She took EVIT in the afternoon, 3 Mesa High classes plus seminary, and a total of 3 year-round MDLP classes.  That was a huge load to take.  She only got 2 B's in all of her classes, which happened to be the MDLP classes.  We are so proud of Emily and her hard work.

Emily played her violin at her graduation.  They played 5 songs, so she was busy that night.  She played Celebration Fanfare  Pomp and Circumstance, Star Spangled Banner, Battle Hymn of the Republic, and Carry On.  The first song was just for this graduation.  The other songs are played every year.

Kenzie Clawson designed the program cover and she did an amazing job.  It looks super cool.  Because she won the contest, she earned a couple of field seats.  Kenzie already received 4 field seats because she is the 5 and last to graduate in her family from Mesa High.  It's a cool tradition that Mesa High has and it was awesome to get benefit from it.

It was a great night, but the best part of the night is celebrating with Emily on the field.  We couldn't wait to give her her lai and celebrate this great accomplishment with her.  Congratulations Emily!!!

Memorable Monday
Graduating Cousins

We went to Benson for Briley's graduation.  Well, for the dinner before and the conversation afterward.  We skipped the actual graduation.  It was fun to see these 3 girls in the graduation gowns.  They are the youngest daughters of my sisters and I.  It's fun to see them together.  They each have different personalities and have different paths ahead of them.  It was fun to take a moment and capture a picture of them before they head off to their future.

It's been so fun to watch these 3 girls grow up together. Emily, Kenzie, and Briley are the youngest daughters of my sisters and I.  It's so fun that they were the same age.  They were closer when they were younger, but now they are busy with their own lives.  They each have different hobbies and future plans.  I will always remember the time when they were young as I cheer them individually in the future.

Baccalaureate

The baccalaureate is such a fun tradition to attend.  I love to take pictures before and afterward.  I know that we will not be able to see many people after graduation cause they are celebrating with their families.  Seminary graduation was just a few hours earlier, so we didn't get any time to rest at home.  The actual ceremony was interfaith, and we heard a couple of talks from different faiths.  There was a Jewish horn played, an Indian dance, and a Polynesian dance as well.  It was a great ceremony and I'm so glad we went as a family and supported Emily.

Seminary Graduation

Emily graduated from Emily - YAY!!  It was a nice ceremony and Kenzie sang a solo.  She wrote and performed the song.  She did such a beautiful job.  There were 10 youths from the KBP Ward that graduated.  One had to leave so her sister stepped in.  We did miss Grandma and Grandpa Wall this go around.  I know that they were both there in spirit.

EVIT Graduation

Emily graduated from EVIT tonight.  It was sprinkling and very windy.  It was threatening to rain the whole time and the ceremony could have been canceled at any time  The ceremony was cut really short so that everyone could have the opportunity to receive their scroll in case the rain came.  The rain held everyone received the scroll.  It was nice to have such a short ceremony focused on the graduates.

We are so proud of Emily and her 2 years of hard work through EVIT.  She learned a lot of 3D and enjoys sculpting using the tools she knows.  It was a treat to honor her tonight through her EVIT program.  Love ya Em!!

Guardianship Day

This is our 4th year of Guardianship, so we had to go out and celebrate.  This year, we went to Cold Stone Creamery and got the yummiest ice cream.  I love celebrating this special day with Angela. It reminds me how lucky we are that we have Guardianship in place to help our sweet Angela.  It also helps me remember the date I need to complete her paperwork.

Monster Jam

Danni took Manny to Monster Jam.  He went last year for the first time and Danni was excited to take him again.  Here are some pics of the event.
