Manny - 9 months

Our grandson Manny is 9 months old today.  He brings so much joy to our family.  We love making him laugh and watching him crawl and stand.  We see him almost every day and cherish the times we have with him.  Danni took him to the doctor on his birthday and he weighed 19 lbs, and is 29 inches long.
Danni and I tried to recreate her maternity shoot to show what Danni looked like with Manny 9 months in and 9 months out.  She looks cute in both pics ready to embrace what the future holds.  Manny is going to have a great future and his parents love him and will guide hime.  We sure love you Manny!!!!

Father’s Day

We had a great Father's Day this year.   Danni and Angela bought Jim gifts the week before. He really appreciated the gifts. We needed a new washer, so Jim bought one the day before Father's Day.  I joked that he is getting a washer for Father's Day, but he did get a dolly.  Haha!!   I'll get him a great gift.

I made a yummy breakfast and a fabulous dinner.  The fact that I cooked was a gift to Jim.  I have been slacking and he has been doing most of the cooking.  I really appreciate all that Jim does for me.  I really love him and if cooking 2 meals shows that, then it's my pleasure to cook for him.  Mostly for Father's Day, we slept and hung out.  It was just what Jim needed, some rest.
We love you Jim
Jim is a great father and the kids adore him.  He watches TV with them - they love to watch Studio C together.  He loves to talk with them, especially joking around.  He will go shopping with the kids and will get them what they need and will take the kids anywhere they need to go.  He loves his kids and wants to see them succeed.  He will help the kids study for a test even if they ask last minute.   He is an awesome dad and I'm glad that I get to see him raise his kids.

These are 2 great men and I'm so lucky to call them my fathers.  They have taught us a lot, but mostly just loved us when we needed it.  They are wiling to give us an extra hand when needed.  They both have great senses of humor and enjoy a good laugh.

Dad's Move to Utah

31 1/2 yrs ago, my parents along with 5 kids (ranging from college to elementary school) moved from UT to AZ. A lot has happened in those years - 5 marriages, 23 grandchildren, and 11 great- grandchildren. After losing my sweet mom, my dad has made a decision to return to UT. He will live close to his 2 sons and 6 of his grandchildren. It’s going to be a change for all of us. I see trips to UT in my future.

Part of my heart just moved to UT.We packed up my dad's apartment, had a goodbye dinner, and said our goodbyes.  Debbie and Randy along with their kids took my dad and his U-haul trailer up to his new how at Creekside.  I’m going to miss you dad. Good luck in your new adventure in life.

Jeff and Debbie were able to get his settled in his new home.  He will have a lot more independence in his new home.  Creekside is a beautiful place and I'm so glad that he chose to live there.  I can't wait to visit him in his new home.

UT Pace visit 2019

Mardy and Iralee came down to AZ for a visit.  We hung out with them on Sunday for just a bit.  Josh and Taft went off to game night with the young adults.  On Tuesday, we had a nice dinner at Kathryn's church house.  We had good food and good conversation.  It's always great when we hang out.  It was fun to see the young babies again together and watch them be passed around.  It was fun to watch Bora and Keith on the piano with Angela and Emily.  I had a lot of stress going into the night, so it was nice just to relax.  I didn't take as many pics as I could have.
Mom with with babies, just not their own baby.
Look how cute Bree and Danni are!!

The threesome
On Thursday night, we went to the lake to play.  We had a picnic and played in the water.  Afterwards, we to Grandma and Grandpa Pace's house to have smores.  It was fun to include Grandma and Grandpa in the fun.  Grandpa Pace didn't want to go to the lake, so we brought the fun to him.
