Halloween

1- YW Carving Pumpkins - The YW carved pumpkins for an activity.  Angela and Emily were on different teams and they each brought home a their carved pumpkin.  I'm so glad that the YW did this activity so I can cross it off my Halloween to do list.

2- Youth Costume Dance - For several years now, the stake has held a Halloween dance for the youth 14 and up.  It makes me think ahead of costumes for my kids, especially the ones going to the dance.  This year, we went shopping and fell in love with this pink cowboy hat and decided that Angela should be a cowgirl this year.

3- Trunk or Treat - Our ward held it's annual Trunk or Treat this year and I was so happy that all my kids plus Brigham could attend.  The food was yummy and the costumes were great. Angela was a  cowgirl again, Emily was Rey from Star Wars, Josh was Lemonade (When life give you lemons, you make lemonade), and Danni was Minnie Mouse.   I loved watching my children interact with each other and their friends.  They seemed to have a great time.

4- Jim's Work Party - Jim's work had a Halloween costume party.   He used my costume from the night before.  It's the perfect costume for someone in programming.  He made his famous chili to take too.

5- Halloween Night - Brigham and Danni dressed up as shadows.  They look like shadows behind Angela and Emmy. Their costumes are great and blend in really well.  Danni and Brigham took the girls Trick-or-Treating which was really nice.

Sisters as Bridesmaids

Danni asked her sisters to be her bridesmaid.  She made special shirts and wrapped them in a box with candy to ask them to be her bridesmaid.  I was touched that she made such an effort to ask her sisters and to make them feel special

I asked my sisters to be bridesmaids too.  Actually, I asked my sister to be my Matron of honor since she could come with me to the temple, but it's the same role as a bridesmaid.  I love my sisters and am so glad that they were there for me on my wedding day.

Danni's Bridal Shower

Sister Riding hosted a beautiful bridal shower for Danni.  Kathryn and Mindy came and decorated the place to look amazing.  Danni had a lot of support from her bridesmaids, family, and friends.  She had a great time and felt loved.  She got a lot of great gifts that will be to give her a great start for married life.  All I ever want is my girls to feel loved and she felt that today at her shower.

Sundays at Church

So, today was the last Sunday that we would all be together at church together.  Danni is getting married and Josh is thinking about attending the Single's Ward.  Brigham came to church with us and attended Sacrament Meeting with us.  He took this picture of us.  We are going to miss having Danni with us on Sunday, but we are ready to add Brigham to our family.

We have been going to church together for many years.  Josh was 10 months old when we moved into the KBP Ward and the girls were born into the ward.  It's emotionally difficult to think that this is the last time we will be together as members of the KBP Ward.  I'm excited for the future of my kids but a part of me wants them to stay young forever.

Back at Porter

Danni got a job working at Porter.  Now she is an employee there instead of student.  She will be working with the special needs kids there.  She has grown up a lot since attending there in Kindergarten.  I'm sure that she will do a great job.  She works so well with kids who have special needs.  She will continue to work for Gutherie in the fall.  I'm so proud of her.

October Break

October Break - We did a lot of fun things.  It was fun to get out of the house and do fun things.

Day 1 - We went to the zoo with Grandma and Grandpa Pace.  We saw the dinosaur exhibit which was really cool.  They moved around and acted like dinosaurs.  My favorite part was when we saw some goats eating and the next exhibit was one of the dinosaurs.  It reminded me of Jurassic Park.  Haha!!!
Day 2 - We sent to see a movie with Grandma and Grandpa Pace and the some Pace cousins It was a sad movie and the girls were not a fan of the movie.  I really liked the movie.  That night we went to Sodalicious.  It seems every school break involves a trip to the soda shops.
Day 3 - Josh had to go to school that day.  We went to the library, had lunch at In-N-Out, and took a tour of ASU Poly.  I think I enjoyed the tour more than the girls. Too bad, we didn't have any luck in the Halloween costume department.
Day 4 - It was busy day.  We went miniature golfing, went shopping for Halloween costumes, had ice cream and Soda.  It was a jam-packed day.

Day 5 - We went to ASU, had lunch at Panda Express, and found some Halloween costume stuff.  That night we send our girls to Young Conference.

7th Grade School Pics

Angela had her senior pics taken at Lou Coopey.  We liked 2 pics, one of which will be used for the yearbook.  The pictures looks so great that I just couldn't pick one.  I only have 2 kids in school this year, which has taken a lot of getting used to.

This was a great chance to look back at when my kids were in 7th Grade.  All 4 of my kids started Junior High School at Taylor.  One of Emily's school teachers knows Josh from Chess Club.  It's cool that one of Josh's coaches from Taylor is one of Emily's teachers.  There is such an age gap between Josh and Emily, but to have a familiar educator in both Josh's life and Emily's life adds a common thread that I enjoy.  There are been so many changes at Taylor since Josh, that it's nice to see that common thread.

Angela's Photo Shoot

Danni took Angela on a photo shoot to Freestone Park.  The pictures turned out great.  Danni knows how to get the best pictures of Angela.  They have such a great relationship and Angela is very comfortable with Danni and trusts her.  It shows in these pictures.

Wedding Announcements

We picked up Danni and Brigha's Wedding announcements.  They looked great and we are so excited to send them out to the family and friends.  We ordered 500 announcements so there are plenty to give out.

This process reminded me of the time when Jim and I made our announcements and how much fun we had making them.  We went and had professional pictures taken and the studio gave us the prints so we could make our own copies for a cheaper price.  I loved the whole process of gathering addresses and addressing each announcement.  We even bought a stamp with my parents address so we didn't have to write the return address on each one.  I was so excited to have the opportunity to marry Jim.  He was my best friend and I wanted the whole world to know.
Our Wedding Announcement

I found my parent's wedding announcements and my grandparent's wedding announcements.  That was an incredible find. I don't have engagement pictures.   It fun to see the how similar wedding announcement have been over the years.  Danni's may look a little more modern, but it still has the tradition feel that my grandparents wedding announcements have.
