Memorable Monday
Dusty

Dusty died and my kids are were so sad to hear the news.  They loved Dusty so much!!  Dusty went camping with Grandma and Grandpa Pace and my kids would play with her when we to visit them on the rim.  They would play with her every-time we visited Grandma and Grandpa's house too.   Dusty will be missed.

PROM 2013

Josh asked Katie Hertigg to Prom.  She plays the clarinet with Josh in band.  They went to the MAC for pictures. which turned out great.  I'm so grateful for the parents that took them and share them with me.  Josh had a great time time at PROM and treated his date with respect.  What more could a mom ask?

Jazz Festivals & Concert

April 4th - Essentially Ellington Jazz Festival at the MAC  Lisa and I went to chaperon this event.  It was so cool to watch the kids perform and also to hear them with the clinicians.  I really impressed with the bass guy.  Josh is really enjoying jazz band this year.

April 5th - Highland Jazz Festival - I went to watch Josh perform with the Jazz Combo at the Higland Jazz Festival.  I came, watched, and quickly left.  Josh didn't even know that I was there until he returned home.  It was so good just to hear him.

Jan. 22nd - Jazz Concert - The Jazz Concert was held on the back on the stage.  This was really nice to have the close up view of the kids.  Josh played the trumpet part with the jazz band and clarinet part with Cody for jazz combo.  I really liked the music of this concert.  These are one of my faviorite concerts because you can totally see your child perform.

Randolph Center

Our family, minus Emily went to the Randolph Center. Our stake youth, 14 and up, were asked to go serve those living in the Randolph Center for the morning.   The Randolph Center is a home for developmentally disabled people who cannot live by themselves. The majority of them have been there since they were children. It is located in Coolidge, about one hour southeast of Phoenix.

We met as a group in the Cultural Hall. There were couples assigned there as missionaries to train and take care of the 'friends' during church meetings. They informed us as to what was going to happen, and how we needed to act with our new friends. He reminded us that they had already secured themselves a place in the Celestial Kingdom and we were to treat them that way.

We went to pick up our friends from their room and bring them to the cultural hall where were asked to sing and interact with them.  Angel and I shared a friend, so I helped Angela interact and help her friend.  After we spend time with our friends, we were asked to take them to their rooms.  Our friend took off and went to get some food.  I was nervous until I found out that she is allowed to do that and she will be fine.

Afterwards, the youth in our stake had a sacrament meeting where the youth were asked to give their testimonies about this experience.  If our stake didn't come today, those in the facility would stay in their rooms because there is not enough staff to care for all of them.  They are doing service just like the Savior would serve them.

The youth had lunch and headed on back to catch the last hour of church.  The youth were asked not to take pictures while they were there to protect the privacy of those living there.  Danni and Jocelyn took a pic to remember the occasion.

Cub Scout Day Camp

Lisa asked me to teach a class at the cub scout day camp.  I taught a class on cooperation and good old fashion fun.  The boys learned to use cooperation skis and then did a really fun relay course.  I asked Dylan and Josh to help me with the class.  Josh is working on becoming an Eagle Scout and Dylan is preparing for a mission, so I though these two boys would be perfect to be my assistants. The boys, both young and old, had a great time.

EAC Choir Festival

Danni's choir group went to a choir festival in Thatcher.  Danni had a blast on the bus to Thatcher.  She sat with Brittany, so you just imagine how much fun the two of them had.  I didn't find out how they scored, but I did get a picture of their choir.  I'm so glad that Danni choose to take choir in high school.

Memorable Monday
Angela at Dance

Angela did a couple of years at Campbell's Dance Studio.  She needed Physical Therapy, but she no longer qualified for it through the state and we couldn't afford it.  Since Danni was taking dance, we signed Angela up too.  She did really well in class and on stage.  Here are some of my favorite pics!!

During the Christmas season, they had free concerts at the studio.  We could just watch the class that our kids attended.  These were my favorite concerts. No fuss!!!

Into the Woods

Danni asked Mrs. McFarandis she could help with the musical at Taylor.  She became the student director of "Into the Woods".  She went to almost every practice and help Mr. McFarland.  It was a great experience for her and she saw a different side of musicals.

Comedy Central

Dani is taking drama this semester and participated in Comedy Central.  The students wrote the plays and they put them on. She played a interviewer who surprised her guests who complained about the latest iPhone 5 model with the Chinese people who mad the phone.  It was so funny and she did an amazing job.  I love watching her act and hope that she find future in Drama.

Memorable Monday
Tombstone

On one of our Benson trips, we went down to Tombstone and watched the gun fight.  We had a lot of fun and of course, I took pics to remember the event.

The Gunfight at the OK Corral was a 30 second gunfight between the cowboys and the lawmen.   There were 3 men killed, 3 men hurt, and 3 men unharmed.  It was fun to watch this 30 second battle that was made famous from westerns.  My mom loves westerns and probably watched this battle many times on TV, so seeing it act out was great,

Kid's 3rd Easter

Here are my kids on their 3rd Easter.  I love to dress my kids up for Easter.  Danni and Angela are wearing the same dress for their 3rd Easter dress - I love that!!  Since my kids are mostly teenagers, its really fun for me to look back and see them when they were young.  My kids are so cute!!!
