Jan 1st - My family went out for lunch / dinner and I noticed that the Rise Bowl was on TV. Oregon's team matched the field so it was hard to spot them. Haha!!!

Jan. 18th - Josh will put his his marching band uniform one last time to march in the MLK parade. 😢😢😢

Jan. 21st - 4 concerts, 3 regionals auditions, 2 weeks, and 1 stake choir performance makes January almost as busy as December. If you were music coming from my hours at hours of the night, you'll know why.

Jan. 24th - Josh tried out for regionals today on the bass clarinet. His teacher called him today and told him that he got first chair. I'm so proud of him. He will be performing with the orchestra.

Jan. 26th - Danni tried out for regionals and didn't make it. I admire her for trying out.

Jan. 31st - Danni and I are encouraging each other to read the Book of Mormon. We are reminding each other to read. We met our goal for January, so we went to lunch to celebrate.

Feb. 2nd - Hard work pays off - Josh received a great scholarship from ASU. Congrats!!!!

Feb. 14th - Going to see a movie to celebrate AZ birthday!!! 

Feb. 16th - usual, a day off school sends the Pace family in different directions. Jim & Josh went to ASU Polytechnic to learn more about the engineering program. Danni spent the day at the MAC. She is performing Seussical three times this week. I took the younger girls out to lunch. It was a fun day for us all.
March 3rd - My son has a music festival today, tomorrow, and Thursday. He also has a band concert on Thursday. It looks like he is spending half of his week in a tux. Good luck on your festivals MHS!!!

March 13th - Track and Field 2015 - Emily got the most important ribbon - participant
March 14th - All-State Auditions - Good Luck Josh!!!!!!

March 26th - My SMART phone is so smart that sometimes it works all on it's own.

April 6th - I had an amazing weekend with my family. We celebrated Easter with family members out of town and those that live close by. We played together, watched conference together, and talked. It was just an amazing weekend. I have an amazing family!!!!

April 7th - Angela has a new math class. Now that she is in a different special ed program, she doesn't need to finish Algebra 1. Changes are really happening for her fast.

April 19th - Angela's dear friend made this for her. What an amazing gift. Thanks!!!!
April 20th - These next 31 days will be busy, crazy, and chaotic. I hope these 31 days could last forever. My son's graduation is fasting approaching and he will start a new chapter in his life. I'm tearing up just writing this post.

April 29th - I'm getting ready for Angela's IEP meeting. I'm a little nervous about this meeting. I need to put on my advocate hat, which is uncomfortable for me. She has a new classification and I don't know much about it. I'm thrilled that she is eligible for more services.
May 3rd- Instead of going to Fathers and Sons, Jim and Josh went to see the new Avengers movie. They both had a great time, and Josh was able to get some much needed stuff done around home.

May 4th - AP tests are going on for the next 2 weeks. Good luck to those taking these tests!!!!

May 7th -Angela is going to college. She is going to Scottsdale Community College for the day with some other students from Mesa High. She is so excited to take a day off school. I hope she has a fun time today.

May 12th - Emily's school earned an A+ School in Excellence award. They had an assembly/party today. Congrats!!!

May 15th - I'm loving this May weather!!!! I love sound and smell of rain. I especially love the cooler weather it brings.

May 27th - If Josh was I home, I might have shared my Diet Coke with him.
June 9th -Danni is going to California and it seems blonde hair is a must. Have fun in California!!!!!
June 12th - Poor Josh!!! He lost his Wisdom Teeth this morning.

June 23rd - Danni and I went to the movies - just the two of us. We need to go it again!!!!
June 25th - Josh just entered the work force.
June 29th - A preview of Danni's senior pics. I stood behind the photographer and took a few pics. I can't believe she is starting her senior yea
July 14th - What a day - we went to the pool, went to Chick-fil-A as cows for a free meal, and had a great 15 min. rain storm. Love summer!!!!!
July 18th - Danni is off to audition for a musical with one of her friends. I hope she has fun and does well.

July 21st - Great way to start the day!!!!

July 29th - Angela just finished reading the Book of Mormon. Our family is doing STOMP this summer and Angela was the first one in our family to finish. What a GREAT example she is!
July 31st - College is expensive!!! Instead, we could take our whole family to Disneyland. So, if you don't see us in a couple of weeks, that's were we went. It's tempting!!!!!

Aug. 4th - Emily just finished reading the Book of Mormon. Good job Emily!!!!!
Aug. 4th - My amazing daughter helped with freshman orientation this morning.
Aug. 5th - Guess who is getting new glasses?? This is just a preview, she should get them in a week or two. They staff at Wal-mart where so sweet to her. They sensed some serious anxiety and skipped the blow in the eye test. I was so impressed that they took great of my girl.

Aug.9th - Our family just finished the Book of Mormon. We participated in the STOMP program in our ward. Each of us read it on our own, but will celebrate this accomplishment as a family. We are super excited that we finished reading the Book of Mormon!!!
Aug. 12th - High School Graduation really sinks in when school starts the next school year. This was the first year that I didn't send off all my kids off to school on the same day. A part of me is really sad and a part of me is really for the college adventure. It helped that Josh was gone on a college trip when I sent the girls to school.

Aug. 17th - We ordered Josh some new glasses? Guess which one won?
Aug. 18th - My son starts ASU in just 2 days. Today he is participating in various events planned for new students. He starts his day off at ASU Polytechnic and travels to the main campus in Tempe for more events. He even gets to watch the ASU Marching Band. ASU has so many orientations that Josh is super ready and excited to get started. The staff at ASU is so helpful to the students and parents. It's going to be a great semester!!!!

Aug. 22nd - ❤️ the temple!!!!

Aug. 26th - Arlene's birthday luncheon!!! Happy birthday mom!!! We love you!!!

Aug. 26th - It's National Dog Day. I'm so glad that my in-laws have dogs. My kids love to play with their dogs.

Aug. 28th - This was Danni's last tradition assembly at MHS. I've loved being a Mesa High Parent. I'm made some friends working side by side with other Mesa High Parents. I'm going to enjoy every minute of Danni's senior year.

Aug. 30th - I went to a youth fireside tonight. My old MCC Institute teacher was the speaker. I felt like a college student again. It was great to hear from him again.

Aug. 31st - Josh and Nice came to support the Sousaphone players at Friday's game. They both played sousaphone last year. Josh graduated and Nice moved. It was so fun to see them together. They hung out with the band.

Aug. 31st - On our way home, we found this cute little dog crossing the road. It was just before the storm hit, so Danni took it home.

Sept. 4th - A year and a half ago, I had blood clot in my spleen. Sine then, my health became super important to me. I took medications, had blood labs done, and had CT scans. I followed my doctor's instructions so that I could get better. My blood clot is now just scar tissue. I learned this past year and a half that I have a generic blood clotting disorder and can be managed. The doctor said the things are looking good. I'll take that!!!!

Sept. 7th - Angela got her haircut

Sept 9th - YAY!!!!!!! I love it when my school is shown in the positive light, especially now that my son is there. ASU tops U.S. News and World Report list of most innovative schools

Sept. 11th - Angela has picture day.


Sept. 17th - Danni is off to work. She starts today!!!!

Sept 27th - Lunar Eclipse - it was fun to see it with the family.

Sept. 28th - Josh got a Certificate in the mail today. He earned the AP Scholar with Distinction. To earn this award, he had to have an average of 3.5 on all AP exams and at least a 3 on 5 AP exams. Congrats Josh!!!!

Oct. 5th - Emily likes the chick.



Oct. 6th - Today's weather was just perfect!!! The sunrise was beautiful!!!!!!!

Oct. 7th - The District posted a video about Porter's H20 Walk.  YAY Porter!!!!  My Emily participated in the H20 and is a member of Hope Club.

Oct. 10th - I've been enjoying going to the Marching Band Competitions. I wish seeing Josh on the field.


Oct. 16th - AMAZING sunset tonight along with the rain made for a nice evening.
Oct. 20th - I received my Christmas WAY early. I'll need it to document the many events leading to Christmas. My old camera was well worn and survived many drops. I've had it for YEARS!!! I'm excited to use it.
Oct. 20th - Mrs. Stones in Danni's Favorite high school teacher of the Year Ambassador.  Thanks for all you for Mesa High!!!  She works super hard in the drama departement as well as in student council.  Works can't express how much confidence she has instilled in my daughter.  Thanks Mrs. Stones.

Oct. 23rd - Emily made the honor roll plus earned a key chain for perfect attendance. Hard work pays off!!!
Oct. 23rd -  Friday Night football games have NEVER been so fun!!!!
Oct. 31st - Halloween 2015 - Marching Band Competition of course. It was SO fun to watch some great AZ bands march. It was fun to go with Josh and hear his perspective. Mesa High doer formed very well!!!

Nov. 11th - Emily how me how to mutiply 328 x 47 last night at STEM night.  It was fun to watch her solve the problem and explain it to me.  Our generation may not like, use, or understand Common Core, but our children will benefit from it.  That's my opinion!!  Emily LOVES math and is pretty good at it.

Nov. 14th - I'm sitting in my pjs watching the AZ State Marching Band Championship. Mesa High has won State Championship 4 times in the last 7 years. They have an amazing program with great kids. Congrats!!!

Nov. 19th - It's looking like Christmas in Downtown Phoenix. There's even an outdoor skating rink. I think it opens next week.
Nov. 22nd - Danni went to the Thespian Festival this weekend. She auditioned for a scholarship. She has a couple of callbacks. I'm so proud of my talented daughter!!!
Nov. 25th - Meeting Emily for lunch - The school was holding a family picnic. It's such a fun tradition.

Nov. 28th - Shouting good luck to my nephew as he plays in the State Championship today. I went to his game last week and was impressed by his team and the community that supports his team. It was a long drive and so many miners of the community came to support their Benson Bobcats. Good Luck!!!
Dec. 6th - Happy Birthday Mitchell - Here is a young pic of you and Josh Pace
Dec. 7th - Finals - After this week, Josh will have successfully completed his semester at ASU. He learned a lot, especially how hard college is. He had a tough load, but he did it. He also learned how to balance work and school. I'm proud of him!!!

Dec. 18th - My neighborhood Walmart is selling Valentines stuff already.  Really??

Dec. 28th - My hard drive crashed with all my pictures!!! I'm just about to cry!!!! Luckily I have pics on Facebook, Instagram, Blog, Dropbox, and some websites that I use to get my photos, so it's not a total loss. Insert sad face here.

Dec. 29th - It was my turn to see the much anticipated movie. It was a GOOD movie, even though my cute nephew spoiled apart of it. The original Star Wars will always be the best, but this one was a good one.

Dec. 30th - The temple was glowing this morning. What a great way to start the day!!
