Memorable Monday
July 31, 2006

We went to Utah for 11 days.  We had a great time.  We spent some time with my family and Jim's family.  It was the highlight of our summer.  Jim and I both grew up in Utah so there are a lot of  memories for us there.  We spent some time with friends too.  We really enjoyed our trip and hope to return soon.

We came home from Utah in time to get Jim ready for Scout Camp.  They went to Camp Geronimo this year. They have gone to Camp Raymond in the past.  Jim left for camp on a Saturday and returned the next Saturday. The scouts had a great time at camp and go a lot done.  The troop won a big troop award.

Jim and the scouts are going canoeing this weekend. They are going to canoe on the upper Colorado River. They went on the lower Colorado last year.  They plan on earning the Canoeing merit badge.

Josh is earning his Bear.  He has one more thing to do.  He has worked real hard.  A lot of the activities are family oriented.  We have had a lot of fun and learned a lot.  He should received his badge next pack meeting and then advance to the Webelos.  He turns 10 two days after pack meeting.

The rest of the summer was just relaxing.  We went swimming and played inside.  The kids are ready to go to school.  They are really bored and are taking it out on each other.  We are getting ready for school.  It will be fun for the kids and especially for mom.  She will get a lot done.  She will have two hours to herself during nap time.  Maybe, I'll take a nap too.

Well, that was most of our summer.
