Memorable Monday
Journal Entry July 7, 2004

June was a very busy month for us.  Dani had her dance concert.  She said that she would be to scared to dance in front of so many people.  She did a great job.  She danced to two songs.  She wore a cute clown outfit and a ballet outfit.  I included a picture of her and her dance mates before the show.  We couldn't take pictures because the show was being recorded professionally.

Jim survived scout camp.  Actually, he enjoyed going to Camp Raymond.  It was a great time to bond with my children.  Wait! I do that every day.  Jim was able to talk to us most nights.  The Sunday following camp, he spoke with the other leaders and scouts that went.  It was neat to hear about camp.

The kids have been busy.  Josh and Dani spent a month doing Kids in Action.  A fun program for them to participate in.  It was great to have something for my kids to do.  We are finishing swim lessons tomorrow.  We have a month of swim lessons also.  Josh was moved up a level the very first day.  I was so proud of him.  I take the parent-tot class with my nephew Joey.  It has been fun to play with him in the water.  It is great exercise and a great way to cool off.

The fourth of July weekend was a lot of fun.  Saturday, we went to a church breakfast and a parade around the neighborhood.  The kids decorated bikes, scooters, wagons and went around the neighborhood.  Afterwards, there was watermelon and an ice cold water fight.  That was Josh's favorite part.  Angela was in the middle laughing.  Luckily, she didn't get very wet.  Jim participated in the flag ceremony before breakfast and helped cook.  On Sunday, we went to see the fireworks.  We got great seats and only waited 15 min. On Monday, we went to see Shrek 2.  It was a great weekend and I survived my 28th birthday.

In about 2 weeks, my side of the family is going camping just north of Bryce Canyon in Utah.  It is going to be fun.  The kids have waited for their turn to go camping with their dad.  Jim is excited to go, even though he just got back from scout camp.  I checked yesterday on the internet, and they said there was no fire restrictions.  It's hard to imagine that.  If so, I'm glad that we are going to Utah.

Everyone is doing well.
