Department of Development Disability
DDD

We applied to receive DDD Services for Angela this year.  We heard back from them and found out that she is eligible.  We will need apply again when is is 18, but it's not difficult, just a page or two.  She has to apply for ALTS and SSI too.  She didn't quality for hose services. We can try SSI again when she is 18 and should be able to get that for her.  I think apply for DDD was one of the most time-consuming things that I had to do for Angela.

Angela receiver DDD when she was younger between 18 months and 3 years.  She had 4 different types of therapy - Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, Speech, and Cognitive Therapy.  She had these therapies once a week.  Some therapies were difficult for her, but she did the work and it paid off.  When she was three years old, she phased out of DDD and the schools provided the services that she needed.  I just found out during the end of her sophomore year that she could be eligible again.  So, after a year of sitting on that knowledge, I applied for Angela to receive DDD.
