Spring Break Trip 2021

We went to Utah for Spring Break.  We waited until Thursday to go up so Danni could spend her birthday in Mesa and Manny could spend time with his dad.  It snowed off and on our trip which was so fun for us Arizonans.  We made good time and were able to see my dad before he went to bed.  It was good to see him and talk with him.  It took me awhile to figure out the ham radio again.

The next day, we took dad to lunch to Tonysburgers.  I order from them for my dad through Grub Hub a lot and thought it was fitting to go there.  Afterward, we took dad to Jeff's house and hung out until he was tired and ready to go home.  We hung out some more and just played with Jeff's kids.  Later that night, we watched Raya with them.  It was a good movie and it is always fun to watch movies with Jeff's family.

The next day, we picked up dad and headed to the Air Force Museum.  We had a great time viewing the planes and taking pictures.  Manny really loved sitting on the scooter that we got for my dad.  He even got upset when Jacob took his turn.  Luckily, Jacob thought sitting on his dad's shoulders was just as cool, so Manny could ride with Grandpa most of the time.  Steve along with Drew and Audrey came to see us after the visit to the Museum.  It was great to see Steve and his kids and talk with them.  After lunch and some time visiting, both Steve and dad returned home.  We went to play in the park and take a picture that Danni really wanted.  It was cold and rainy so we didn't stay too long.  We did enjoy watching the kids play, especially in the tennis courts.  We drove by a couple of home that John Pack built that were in Bountiful.

Sunday, we went to the cemetery to visit my mom's gravesite.  Steve and his whole family joined us as we paid our respects to mom.  It was awesome to be there with my brothers and their families and dad.  We usually go alone or bring dad, so it was great for us all to be there.   I know that my mom would love visitors from her family often,  We will never forget her.  Afterward, we went back to Jeff's house for lunch.  We worked really hard on the meatloaf that we prepared.  Everyone added their contribution to it and it tasted better than we could have ever imagined.

Monday, we went to Hogle Zoo to meet up with the UT Paces.  Iralee and her kids were late and since Lauren helped us get into the Zoo, we spent 1/2th the time at the Zoo with each family.  The zoo is fun but after 5 hrs. we think we saw each anima twice, not really but it seemed that way.  We drove around SLC getting a shirt for Keith that he got wet, and finding our way to the nearest Costa Vida.  Mardy and Felicity joined us for dinner.  It was nice to talk to Iralee and listen to Mardy and Jim talk code.

Tuesday morning, we headed to Creekside to say goodbye to Grandpa and then headed home.  It wasn't necessarily an eventful drive and that's what we wanted.  We did find a green dinosaur at the gas station that needed a pic with Manny.

We had a great visit and we were so glad to have the opportunity to take dad out of Creekside to have some great family time.  We really miss him and are so blessed that we have the opportunity to be able to visit him as often as we do.
