Renaissance Festival

Emmy had her renaissance Festival today.  This is a 6th grade tradition at Porter and I've been able to help out every year.  They prepare in advance by making a castle labeled with their different parts.  At the festival, they make candles, head wreaths, practicing fencing, and much more.  It's fun to see them dress up, if they want, and just take a day off regular school work to enjoy the Renaissance Festival.  After all their projects are done, then they have a special lunch.  Mr. Principal, the principal's husband, was the Master of Ceremony.  It's such a fun day.  All the other grades see how cool this day is and they can't wait until it is their turn.

Highlights of the day

Emily was my last child to participate in the Renaissance Festival at Porter.  Here are pics of each of my kids during the Festival.  Josh and Danni wore the same costume and Emily and Ang wore the same costume.  I'm so glad that I was able to volunteer on the those days and see them participated in the festival.
