UT Trip
Welcome to the World Jacob Wall

Jeff asked Lisa and I to watch his girls while Lauren was in the hospital delivering Jacob.  We came up a day early to get to the know the girls better and have them feel comfortable before they headed to the hospital.  Lisa and I were thrilled to spend this time with the twins.

Day 1 - It's going to be Fun and COLD!!!!!!  We arrived at the airport and Jeff and the twins were there to greet us.  We went to dinner with Lauren, Jeff, her grandparents and Tony, and the twins.  They had a great burger and it was great to get to spend time with Lauren before she heads to the Hospital to have Jacob. We watched a movie before bedtime with Jeff and the twins.

Day 2  - Lisa and I woke up when the twins woke up.  Their parents had already headed to the hospital to have Jacob.  We dressed the girls up and headed to see the Bountiful Temple. It was raining so it was the perfect time to pull out the umbrellas that my mom bought for them.   It was there that we heard the news that their little brother was born.  We went to the store to buy some cookies supplies and make sugar cookies with the girls.  Afterwards, we went to the library and read books with the girls.  Lisa and I took the girls to Fiiz - We needed drinks to keep the pace we were going.  Anne came over to watch the girls and we went to the hospital to see cute little Jacob.  He is so precious and we hated to leave him, but we were there to watch the girls, so we headed back to Bountiful.  We stopped for dinner at Costa Vida and hit Nielsens. We really miss the one by our house.

Day 3 - Lisa and I dressed the twins up in their big sister shirts and took them to the hospital to meet Jacob.  It was fun to see how the twins reacted to their brother.  Lauren's parents were there and enjoyed watching their reaction as well. The girls each spent time holding their baby brother.  Bree was in love with her brother and was ready to take him home. We took the girls to see a huge gingerbread house at a hotel in SLC.  It was really cool, but the girls were worried about Santa since his head was stuck in the chimney.  Bree was still upset that Jacob couldn't come with us. We took the girls to Crosswoods mall to look around and have lunch.  We headed back home to relax.  We have a lot planned and needed a break. Anne came over to watch the girls while Lisa and I went to go see Audry perform in the Nutcracker.  Lisa and I head to the Jordan Commons for dinner and then went to the U.  We sat with Steve's family and watched the Nutcracker.  Audry did an awesome job as the lead mouse.  The rest of the Nutcracker was good to, but too much bowing for me.

Day 4 - We spent some time at the hospital with Jacob and his parents.  We then went to visit Steve and his family.  We ended up having pizza at a local pizza joint. We had a great time with yummy pizza.  That night, Lisa and I visited Gary and his family.

Day 5 - Lisa and I took the girls back to the library to hang out until Lauren and Jeff came home with Jacob.  The girls were so excited to have their baby brother home.  Lauren's mom and grandparents came for a visit.  It was so sweet to see the family all together at home.  That night, Lisa and I went to see temple square.  The lights were so pretty and we were thrilled to be able to touch the actual temple.  That was something that we were unable to do while we were young.

Day 6 - Lisa and I wanted to give Lauren some alone time at home with Jacob, so we took the girls on  an adventure.   We rode the Fronrunner and other trains to a children's museum and to see some familiar sights in Sandy.  We had lunch at the Jordan Commons before heading back to Bountiful.

Day 7th - We met up with Lorraine and had lunch in Murray  It was so great to see her and chat with her. after all these years. Cara came to visit with us and we had a heart to heart talk.  That night, Steve and his family by.  I love ending our trip with both of my brothers.

Day 8 - After spending a week with Jeff's family and helping out while Jacob was born, Lisa and I are heading home.  We had a blast!!  I'm sure the girls need a break because we kept them SO busy.  We will miss them a lot, but we will always remember this trip and how much we bonded with these two little girls and their brother.

My mom bought the twins matching outfits plus the dolls.  She also bought the cute umbrellas that the girls used at the temple.
