Fox 10 News

The Mesa High Marching Band was invited to Fox 10 news studio to perform their 2013 Marching Band Show "I Hope".  I went with the band to the studio.  We were so excited to board the charter buses and head into Phoenix. I was shocked at how small the studio was and we quickly discovered that the only room for our band was in the parking lot.  The band quickly set up in an arc to perform the music, but not the marching section of their show.  The performed the last movement several times to practice, shoot promotions, and perform for the news anchors.  They did an amazing job and Mr. Brooks was very pleased with their performance.

When Mr. Brooks was interviewed, he talked about how awesome his students are and how proud he is of them for not just their state championship, but for who they are on and off the field.  It was a great interview and the cameras gave the students their time to shine.  We were all a little star struck, especially watching Ron Hoon and Rick D'Amico.
Meeting the new anchors!
The Boosters were so thrilled to have a chance to get a photo taken with Ron Hoon.  He lives in Mesa, so he is very familiar with Mesa High..
WE LOVE RON HOON!!!!
After the news anchors left, we took a group picture.  We needed one for the yearbook. so we arranged to have one taken at the studio and another one at school.   They are such great photos, that it is hard to decide which one to use.  I'm glad that I don't have to make that decision.
