Zoo with Friends

While Josh was participating in a chess tournament, Jim & I took the girls and some of their friends to the zoo. There is a new Komodo Dragon exhibit that we wanted to check out. It was a cool morning and the dragon was inside a glass enclosure which made it more difficult to see and even more difficult to get a good picture. It'll be fun to see it in it's new exhibit soon. We stopped by to see the Orangutans and the baby was putting on a great show. He was spinning on his back and dancing for us. We stopped by to see Monkey Village. We usually need to enter the exhibit to see these monkeys in action, but not this time. They were climbing, jumping, and entertaining us while we view them from outside the exhibit. We stopped by to see some other animals and headed to the tree house to play. We were short on time but it was a great experience for us all. It even sprinkled while we were watching the kids play. Everyone had a great time and enjoyed spending time together. We made in time to hear about Josh's tournament.

This is the best picture that I could get of the Komodo Dragon since he was in the glass exhibit due to cold weather.

The baby organutan "break dancing" for us

The spider monkeys are always fun to see.
