Josh competed in a chess tournament with weekend in Lakeside, AZ. He participated in 5 games on Saturday and Sunday. He was really excited to participate in this tournament and spend time with his friends. He had a great time and enjoyed playing chess with his competitors and his friends.
While Josh was competing, we were playing. It was snowing in Lakeside, we took the opportunity to play in the snow and take lots of pictures. It was fun to spend time with the girls.
The Taylor chess team took 4th place overall. The team made a grand entrance to accept their trophy. They ran up and aisle, crossed the back of the auditorium and then ran down the aisle onto the stage to receive the trophy. It was fun to see the boys so enthusiastic! An old teammate, Nick Thompson, won 1st place in the high school competition. It was neat to see the boys from Taylor support their friend. It was great to see his teammates stand on their feet and congratulate him.
