Memorable Monday
Christmas Events 2020

Christmas 2020 season was fun of many memories.  It's fun to look back on the pictures and remember the good times we had this month.  COVID changed this Christmas and we were not able to do the things that we usually do.  We learned to make the most of the Christmas 2020 season.

Dec. 3rd - Emily's Christmas Concert - This was the first concert since the pandemic.  Mr. Nichols usually has his Christmas Concert in the cafeteria with the light stage and they use the concert as a fundraiser.  This year, the kids were allowed to be on the stage for the concert, but it was filmed for the parents to watch at home.  It wasn't the same, but we were thrilled for the kids to have a concert.  They had already missed 2 concerts due to the pandemic.  Concerts are important for the kids to show off their hard work and to be recognized.

Dec. 5th - Ward Christmas Party - It was the first party that we've had since the pandemic. There were still protocols that needed to be followed, especially since we just started having Sacrament Meeting a couple of months ago.  It was an outdoor party where you came anytime to walk around to see various nativities.  You had to keep your distance and only stay just a few minutes, but it really added to the Christmas spirit. I displayed the nativity set that my mom made.  She loved making these nativity sets.

Dec. 8th - Schnepf Farms - We went to Schnepf farms and had a blast. Manny saw Santa and told him what he wanted for Christmas.  We rode on the trolley and the train to see the World of Illumination.  We loved looking at all the cool lights too.

Dec. 13th - Christmas Sunday and family gift exchange - We went to church in our Christmas Sunday best and then we headed over to Danni's for dinner and a gift exchange.  It was really fun to go to Danni's and have a change of atmosphere for Christmas.  She just got her new apartment so it was fun for her to host us as well.

Dec. 20th - Christmas in Benson - We planned a reunion after Christmas, but we decided to cancel due to the high number of COVID cases in both Utah and Arizona.  We were going to pull dad out of Creekside for a week for the reunion. We went to Benson instead and just had a sister reunion.  Debbie was still planning on going up.  Debbie made these great shirts for us, so we thought it would be a perfect time to wear them.  Jim just got a plan blue shirt, but he still matches.  We had a great time eating, visiting, and playing.  It's always fun when we go to Benson.
