Camping with the Paces

The Pace family went camping up on the rim. We had such a great time as a family. There were a lot of great bonding moments. Only a few could be captured by film, but most will be cherished memories that last a long time.

Grandpa set up several hammocks and the kids loved them. Every time I laid down in a hammock, I fell asleep. They are so comfy to take naps. The kids had a great time hanging out in the hammock. Four kids climbed into one hammock. Let's say it didn't last much longer.

The younger kids love to help Grandpa haul the firewood closer to the fire. I love that the wood they are carrying is almost half their size. Super cute!
It was so fun to see cousins play with each other. That was the highlight of the whole camping trip. Grandma provided crafts and journals for the kids to make. My kids loved their journals and were excited to use them. Thanks so much Grandma Pace.
The kids play badminton, volleyball, rode bikes, and hiked as well. We hiked just 1/4 mile to see a spring coming out of a cave. The kids found a cute green frog that was living near the cave. The kids kept really busy and had a blast.

Before we packed camp and headed home, we all played the "Candy Bar Game". It's a fun game and the kids really enjoyed it. We learned that Push Pops and Gummy Worms were the favorites among the kids and adults alike.
